“Fortingall Art 2022 Summer Exhibition”

With mild interpretation and more than a little excitement I packed up my newly framed landscapes and traveled to the beautiful village of Fortingall for the annual Summer Exhibition of local artists. With very little knowledge of how to hang an exhibition and armed with D rings (and my talented wife) and a finely detailed plan on the layout we set to work. As they say in Scotland the The best laid schemes are' mice an' men Gang aft a-gley.” which basically means I'd forgotten the price labels and a business card holder and the bio. However we were quick to be rescued with help and a holder from a fellow 'more experienced artist'

The Private View gave me a lovely opportunity to invite and thank all the friends and colleagues who have supported, inspired and encouraged me to set up my business and follow my passion. To all of them I am grateful.

Smartly dressed, a little apprehensive but with my wife and two special friends by my side we arrived early to the beautiful sound of a local folk musician playing violin and acoustic guitar, the clink of champagne glasses and nervous laughter of the 25 other artists and friends. Ceramics, oil paintings, jewellery and furniture proved to be an absolute delight for anyone interested in local talent in the stunning location of Molteno Hall complete with crow step gable from 1936.

The exhibition continues from 23rd July to 8th August and opens daily for anyone interested in enjoying the rich array of painting, photograph and creative artifacts.

Perhaps my landscapes will sell and maybe they won't but I am proud to say Daniel Giza Photography is growing and I am extremely excited to be among fellow artists in beautiful Highland Perthshire sharing my passion and craft with all the visitors to Fortingall Art 2022.
