Polish Tatra Mountains
Mountains close to my heart and once close to my home.
Kasprowy Wierch
These beautiful mountains are at times packed with tourists from all over the world and as we know it’s much easier to photograph landscapes, when its not that crowded. Those are the days that I hiked in the most popular valleys.
“Morskie Oko”, “Dolina Koscieliska“, “Staw Smreczynski“ and “Kasprowy Wierch“.
This particular frosty morning the temperature shown -13 °C but wind … oh boy let me tell you, I struggled to stand straight. The chill factor wasn’t helping my fingers at all. Trying to stand still and looking for the best composition wasn’t an easy task. Hands were freezing and getting more numb by the minute. Finally I have found some interesting foreground to energise this shot and make it really interesting.
“Morskie Oko” - “Eye of the Sea”
The most iconic and most popular scenery in Polish Tatra Mountains. Over 15,000 people walk the route to this picturesque lake in the Tatra Mountains on a single day.
“Staw Smreczynki”
This stunning lake was completely frozen. I couldn’t find anything that was particularly interesting to me for the shot so I decided to try Panorama Shot. The rolling mist mixed with blown snow was covering the mountains very fast. I made a few attempts until I was happy.
